The Sabres are a perennial contender, winning the Stanley Cups in 2003 and 2009.

The Carolina Hurricanes defeated the Detroit Red Wings 3-2 on Tuesday, March 4, to win the Presidents trophy.

The two teams have played six Presidents’ titles, with the Hurricanes winning four.

The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Boston Bruins 4-1 in the Presidents final to win their first Stanley Cup.

The Penguins have reached the playoffs five times, and they have won five straight.
